BEARINGS
We optimize bearing performance and maximise bearing life.
Bearing failure may be the source of the problem, but it’s the production downtime that causes the most damage.
Incorrect fitment and mounting of bearings; lack of maintenance of bearings and relevant equipment; improper use of equipment such as overloading: damage from any of these can be fixed, and we know how to do it.
BiSA has the expertise, experience, engineering tools, technology and products to service companies throughout Southern Africa.

BEARING REFURBISHMENT
Bearing refurbishment offers a viable alternative to replacing bearings entirely.
It eliminates long lead times, shortens operational downtime and can result in savings of up to 90% of the cost of a new bearing. That’s a significant reduction in equipment-cost- of-operations for plant and equipment owners.
Warranty: Our service is protected by a R21 million insurance policy. Our warranty covers the bearing as well as the equipment directly connected to it.
Levels of Repair
Cleaning, inspection, analysis and recertification of the ball and roller bearings.
Includes level 1 and the stripping of separable components, refinishing raceways and rolling elements, spall-grinding and confirming or adjusting unmounted internal clearance.
Includes level 1 and 2 and regrinding damaged surfaces, re-manufacturing and replacement of components to return bearings to its Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
Customised solutions to specific bearing problems as per customer request. This process involves new bearing assemblies to be made up with set spacers, customising internal load clearances for specific bearing operations; oiling grooves and holes; altering existing boundary dimensions to allow for custom fits.

Uncompromising quality:
Our proven track record demonstrates that a BiSA refurbished bearing will run as well as, if not better than a new bearing.
BEARING INSPECTIONS (Periodic On-Site)
BEARING INSPECTIONS
(Periodic On-Site)
BiSA offers periodic inspections and reporting on bearings, housings, labyrinth seals, couplings and other accessories surrounding the bearing. This is essential to determine existing operational conditions.
Recommendations for maintenance and / or repairs are made based on wear patterns and general damage. Then we restore bearing and rotating equipment to original condition, creating an ideal operating environment that reduces wear and prolongs bearing and rotating equipment life.
With scheduled periodic inspections and maintenance, unexpected breakdowns and shutdowns for sourcing and replacing bearings are reduced.

BEARING FAILURE ANALYSIS
BiSA assists you to make informed decisions based on detailed reports on the reasons for failure. Our comprehensive bearing failure analysis process considers all internal and external factors. Because we are independent from any bearing manufacturer or distributor, you can trust our unbiased opinion and recommendations.
The strong relationship BiSA has with many OEM’s and Schaeffler gives us access to specific data and details that other companies may not have at their disposal.
OUR INVESTIGATION AND ANALYSIS INCLUDES ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
Data from bearing monitoring devices.
The condition of the internal rolling contact surfaces, load zones and the corresponding external surfaces.
Mounted position of bearings, shaft and housing sizes and lubricant distribution conditions.
Environmental factors that may cause bearing damage.
The condition of other machine elements such as locknuts, adapters, seals and seal wear rings.
Equipment service and maintenance records.
NEW BEARINGS
Saving you time and money is our priority. Unfortunately, refurbishment of your bearings is not always possible. If your bearing has reached the end of its life cycle, BiSA can offer the most competitive pricing on new FAG and INA bearings.
